In actuality, the confidentiality, availability and reliability of information transferred and shared within a health care organization and between a health care organization and patients is extremely important in terms of the protection of patients’ rights and professional ethics of health care professionals. In this respect, it is possible to refer to the experience of the Naval Health Clinic, where the confidentiality and the high level of the information security is the major priorities in the development of the information system of the health care organization (Benoff & Grauman, 1997). Taking into consideration, the growing impact of information technologies on the life of the modern society and health care system, the protection of information and the high level of information security will be particularly important for both health care organizations and patients.
