It is a well-known fact that there are many hot discussions concerning the issue, “What is better living in the country or in the city?”
Many people claim that they want to live only in the cities because they love the energy and possibilities the cities can offer them, such as a number of places to go and to see: tourist attractions, cinemas or theatres with a wide range of plays- comedy to chuckle, tragedy to cry, etc. What’s more, living in the city may give you a chance to meet the celebrities, for example, singers, musicians, comedians, artists.
Besides, city-lovers don’t want to deal with the following challenges the country life may require: planting crops, caring about domestic animals, such as cows, chickens, pigs and goats and what’s more, they may detest the mess these animals can make. As a result, those people believe that they can live only in the cities and do think that country life is not for them. However, living in the city also has a number of disadvantages. First of all, we may think of the following minuses: noise and pollution, the lack of space, the unemployment problem and high crime rate.
As to the country life, of course it also has both cons and pros. The main advantages of living in the country are the following: peaceful surroundings, open spaces, clean and fresh air and products, for example, you may walk around and enjoy the fresh air or you may eat the chicken or the duck you have raised or you are able to drink the milk in the quality of which you are sure. Besides, country life gives you the possibility to do what you want as there are no nosily neighbors close to you. Hence, you have a chance to feel what a privacy means while those who live in the city cannot hide anywhere except for their flats, but even in that case they constantly feel the presence of the neighbors who don’t allow them to listen to music, to chuckle loudly with the friends or to behave as a comic musician.
However, country life also features a number of minuses, such as the dirtiness because of the domestic animals, the constant need in caring after them, the isolation and the lack of things to do and to see. In addition, some think that it is not comfortable to live in the country.
Nevertheless, it should be mentioned that country life can be rather interesting and comfortable as well. If you have enough money, you may make the house you like full of up to date technologies and things that make our life easier. With the car you are able to get to the city within a short time.
You may also find a number of things to do in the country: go walking, feed animals, and gather the crops. Finally, you may find a hobby- start painting amazing landscapes, gathering lovely flowers, and writing poems or comedies.
To sum up, it’s up to people what to choose, however, it is obviously that both city and country life can be interesting, exciting and comfortable.
