To begin with, it should be noted that characteristics of charismatic leaders are suggested as being experienced, having technical knowledge and having a strong need for control. I view charismatic leadership as a certain form of leadership that inspires, that brightens the day, that makes feel free and indispensable at work.I can say that I agree with the qualities suggested above, and as well I would add some as well. I think that charismatic leaders have to have various characteristics that will help them to be the best in their areas. I think that it is important to be creative, to think positively, to be innovative, to take risk and to be able to communicate with people effectively.
Considering the example of how I was able to use charismatic leadership to motivate employees , I can say that I used motivational approaches, appropriate words and numbers to motivate employees. Each person wants to be motivated either by the extra salary, bonuses, extra social benefits, extra day off, promotion, new department, new possibilities, etc. This is rather real, there is just needed the moment to make it come true and to provide the proper motivation of the employees. We are all people and we all need proper rest, proper salary, motivation, we need to feel indispensable, sometimes the best that the others, etc. When there is much work ahead, I tell the employees that during the moth they will receive a day off- each of them… and it works. I can say that motivation always works on everyone, it just depends on the type of motivation, on the way it is promoted. I prefer being in the best mood possible, with the best intentions and energy to show employees that they should have it too. This way it will be easier to work and they will finish it faster and better.As well, I think that positive emotions are very important. Also, I am for the individual approach to each employee, because everyone is different and all people want different things, and I, as an employer, can guarantee certain things and help a person to get motivated.
It should be noted that “The Charismatic Leader gathers followers through dint of personality and charm, rather than any form of external power or authority”, according tot eh Charismatic Leadership. Charismatic leader does not leave anyone indifferent and always make people feel more interested in the process.It is important to note that charismatic leaders have the ability to communicate on a very powerful emotional level, and also they include some personality traits, which attract the attention of people. The majority of people are interested in such leaders and follow them. All of us love something different each day, always something new, that is why people who are not the same as everyone else always attract attention.
All in all, it can be said that “Charismatic leadership is leadership based on the leader’s ability to communicate and behave in ways that reach followers on a basic, emotional way, to inspire and motivate. We often speak of some sports and political leaders as charismatic (or not) — an example being John F. Kennedy.”, according to the Leadership Center. In the modern world, those, who use charismatic leadership – will not lose.
